Jaime currently lives in Miami, FL with his wife Julie and his three children – Jaime, Cristina and Claudia. His personal interests include fishing and boating, travelling, wine collecting, his kids’ activities and spending quality time with his family and friends.

Justin was born and raised in Miami, FL. Other than a few years in Europe studying languages and attending graduate school at the University of Notre Dame, he has never lived outside of Miami. Justin started his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers in the area of international taxation until he ultimately joined his partner, Jaime Parlade, in Parlade Schaefer Schortz CPAs, PA.

Mindy is a seasoned professional who joined Parlade Schaefer and Schortz in 2013. With extensive experience in construction, manufacturing, and supply chain management, she has developed a deep expertise in operations and accounting practices. Throughout her career, Mindy has demonstrated a strong ability to streamline processes, improve operational efficiency, and provide strategic insights that drive business growth. Her role at the firm allows her to leverage this knowledge to navigate complex financial and operational challenges.

Based in Melbourne, FL, Mindy is passionate about balancing her professional life with personal enjoyment. She thrives in the kitchen, loves spending time on the water, and embraces the sunny Florida lifestyle. Whether she’s cooking up a new recipe, boating, or simply enjoying the outdoors, Mindy finds joy in every moment under the sun.

Paul has many years of experience working for CPA firms as a Tax Preparer, Software Developer, and Technology Manager. He is driven by a passion for continuous learning and leveraging software development to optimize client services. Paul has an Accounting Degree from the University of South Carolina, Full Stack Developer Certification from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Robotics Software Engineering Nanodegree from Nvidia & Amazon.

Ed joined Parlade Schaefer Schortz CPAs, PA during 2011 as a manager in the Tax Department, upon moving to South Florida from New York. His experience exceeds 20 years with boutique firms specializing in ultra-high net worth individuals and complex financial transactions.

Phil started with the firm in February of 2021. He has been working in public accounting for 32 years.He finds his work extremely satisfying.

He was born in NY, but Ihas lived in MIami for 32 years. He is married with a son and daughter, 2 grandsons and one granddaughter.

He loves to read and do the NY Times crossword puzzle every morning.

Maria G Gorrin was born in Venezuela and graduated as a CPA working in several multinational

companies, as a Financial Manager and Controller. Then she moved to Miami 19 years ago to work for a multinational company as a Treasurer & Credit Director in the financial area leading teams from different countries. In the last five years she has been concentrated in doing accounting and preparing and reviewing complex companies and personal taxes in a boutique firm, Maria has joined our firm in June 2022. In her free time, she likes to practice yoga and Pilates.

Patricia grew up in New Jersey and moved to North Carolina in 1996.  She graduated from NC State University in 2006 with her bachelor’s in accounting and received her CPA in 2016.  She’s worked primarily in tax accounting since graduating and recently joined Parlade Schaefer Schortz.  Her background includes working as a tax manager, with high net worth, real estate and small businesses clients.  When not working she enjoys spending time with her husband of over 15 years, her friends and traveling.

Delena is a North Carolina native, now based in Georgia. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. As an Enrolled Agent, she maintains active credentials and is currently pursuing CPA licensure, with the goal of

completion by 2026. She is passionate about bridging the gap between complex financial

topics and practical solutions, helping clients better understand and take control of their

financial lives. She has three “grown” children, so as pseudo-empty nester, outside of work, she enjoys exploring new travel destinations and personal growth. Her favorite quotes is: “An amateur practices until they get it right; a professional practices until they can’t get it wrong.” — Unknown

Sara was born and raised in Miami, Florida, and relocated to Orlando in 2022. Before joining the firm, she worked in several customer service roles, where she developed strong communication and client service skills. As an Accounting Manager, Sara oversees client accounting operations and ensures financial reporting is accurate and timely. 

Outside of work, Sara enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time outdoors.

Idyra was born in Quebec, Canada, but has lived in Miami for 38 years. Idyra has a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from FIU. She was a stay at home mom for 10 years and has been back in the workforce for the last 3 years.  Idyra is in charge of making sure every document received is with the correct client. Idyra looks forward to continuing learning and growing with Parlade Schaefer & Schortz.

Mary Ann was born and raised in New York City and has been living in Miami for the past 25 years. She joined the firm in October of 2021. Mary Ann has worked in public accounting firms for 33 years and has a wide array of experience in administrative duties, bookkeeping and tax processing and enjoys learning new things and expanding her duties. She loves traveling, movies and is an animal lover who enjoys caring for her pets.

Ferdinand was born in Camarines Norte and raised in Quezon province. He is a Certified Public Accountant and graduated Cum Laude with an Accounting degree from Southern Luzon State University. He started his accounting career in Quezon province then moved to Metro Manila after a year and worked for a financial company for 15 years supervising and managing teams handling account reconciliations, bank operations, regulatory compliance, fraud and anti-money laundering investigations, securities, and investment operations.

Stephanie was born and raised in Miami, Florida. She has her BAS in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources from Keiser University. She has 10 years of administrative experience and was the assistant manager at a medical office prior to joining Parlade Schaefer Schortz in January 2024. Stephanie looks forward to growing and obtaining new skills in accounting and finance.

Priscilla recently joined the PSS staff as an accounting manager. She graduated from Saint Peter’s University in Jersey City, New Jersey. With over 10 years of office and accounting experience, she is excited to work with an experienced accounting team to service our growing clientele. When not tackling numbers, Priscilla enjoys reading, cheering on the Heat & Dolphins, and snorkeling with her husband.

Yasmin is originally from San Diego, California. She recently relocated to Miami in April 2024 with her husband and their two dogs. She became a part of the PSS team as a filing manager in June 2024 and is eager to keep growing. Currently, she is pursuing further education at National University. In her free time, Yasmin enjoys reading, taking long walks with her dogs, and exploring new cuisines.

Mervin was born and raised in Boac, Marinduque. He completed his Management Accounting degree with Academic Distinction from St. Mary’s College of Marinduque. He worked for a universal bank before joining the firm. He has 12 years of experience in general accounting which includes bookkeeping, accounts payable and accounts receivables. Mervin loves basketball, playing video games and spending quality time with his family.

Maikel is a highly experienced Senior Tax Accountant with a strong background in individual, corporate, and international taxation. As an IRS Enrolled Agent and holder of an MBA, he brings both technical tax expertise and strategic business insight into every client’s engagement. With a career span of over 10 years, Mr. Quevedo has specialized in preparing and reviewing complex tax returns, ensuring compliance with ever-changing tax laws, and delivering forward- thinking tax planning strategies. He has worked with a diverse portfolio of clients, from high-net- worth individuals to multinational corporations, helping them optimize tax positions and navigate cross-border tax challenges. Maikel is known for a meticulous attention to detail, a proactive approach to tax strategy, and a deep commitment to client success. Combining a strong command of U.S. and international tax regulations with a business-minded perspective, he consistently adds value through thoughtful planning, risk management, and tailored tax solutions.

Ella became a CPA in 2015, starting her career in the Philippines as a tax practitioner. In 2019, she transitioned to US taxation, specializing in federal and state returns for partnerships, S -Corporations, and C- Corporations within the financial services sector. She joined the firm as a tax preparer in 2025.

Mae Darlene graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy in 2018 and became a Certified Public Accountant the same year. After briefly working at a local accounting firm, she transitioned to US taxation, where she gained almost six years of experience. In 2025, she joined PSS as part of the Philippines tax team. Outside of work, Mae Darlene enjoys attending concerts, watching anime, and has been a K-Pop fan since 2013.

Currently working as a Tax preparer at Parlade Schaefer Schortz I'm a detail-oriented U.S. tax professional with over five years of experience preparing and reviewing federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations. I'm well-versed in tax projections, extensions, and compliance requirements. With a strong focus on accuracy, efficiency, and client service, I take pride in delivering high-quality work and helping clients confident in their numbers. Franklin Jay "Frank" Ocampo is a Certified Public Accountant born and raised in Magalang, Pampanga. He earned his BS Accountancy degree at Tarlac State University, Philippines. Prior to joining the firm, Frank gained valuable experience working as an accountant in a real estate corporation and as a US Tax Associate Director in an outsourcing company for nine years.

Zora is an experienced Senior Professional with over 20 years in tax, accounting and finance operations for the public accounting, private and non-profit industries, including exposure to Latin American countries. She is certified by the State of Florida Department of Revenue as a Sales & Use Tax Contract Auditor. One of her favorite quotes is “There is a crack in everything. That’s how the light gets in.”

Stanton was born and raised in Michigan, and after attending Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC, studying Speech Education and Music, and touring England with the University Sacred Music Ensemble, he worked 3 years as an Auditor for a Resort in his home state.

Damian was born and raised in Miami, Florida. He was a broker for airplane parts for 3 years prior to joining the firm in November 2020. His personal interests include the foreign exchange global decentralized marketplace, in which he exchanges national currencies, he also mentors and guides other members in finding strategies that work best for them. In his downtime he enjoys music production and DJing with friends.

Born and raised in South Carolina, Kathryn moved to Miami at the end of 2021 and began working with the firm as a filing clerk in 2022. Soon after, she transitioned to the duties of Accounting Associate due to her strong organizational skills, great attention to detail and aptitude in client communication. Her personal interests include reading books, watching movies and exploring different cuisines.

Alexa is currently in her first year of the BSN program, aspiring to become a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA). She joined the Parlade Schaefer Schortz CPAs team three years ago and works in the Accounting Department, where she has gained valuable experience and knowledge in finance and accounting. In her free time, Alexa enjoys spending quality time at home with her family.

Rhealyn was born in Marikina and raised in Pasig, Metro Manila. She graduated from Philippine School of Business Administration with a bachelor’s degree in Accountancy. Before joining the firm, Rhea worked as accounting staff for manufacturing and lending companies for 7 years then to a BPO company for 3 years handling bookkeeping, financial reporting, taxation, and payroll-related work for a Tennessee-based accounting firm.

John was born and raised in Pasay, Metro Manila. He is a Certified Public Accountant and completed his accountancy degree from Philippine School of Business Administration. With 7 years of experience as an accountant, John honed his expertise in general accounting, financial reporting, taxation and payroll-related work through working with various industries such as logistics and restaurants before joining the firm.

Mark was born and raised in Valenzuela, Metro Manila. He earned his Business Administration Major in Management degree from Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Valenzuela. Prior to joining the firm, Mark worked as GL Bookkeeping Head for a savings bank for 6 years and accounting staff handling general accounting and internal audit work for various local companies for 5 years.

Claire is a payroll associate at Parlade Schaefer Schortz CPAs, PA. Her responsibilities include processing payroll and preparing quarterly and annual payroll reports for the Internal Revenue Service, as well as over two dozen states.

Miche is a dedicated Payroll Administrator with a strong foundation in data entry, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in every task. Beyond his professional life, Miche is passionate about his family and is enthusiastic about applications that merge technology with creativity.

Currently working as a Payroll Associate at Parlade Schaefer Schortz. My role involves ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, maintaining tax compliance and employee data. Besides payroll duties, I am also responsible for tax processing and 1099 filing. I am also a former Payroll Analyst at ADP with hands-on experience managing and analyzing payroll for a wide range of clients. When I’m not working, you’ll often find me at a café or spending time with my loved ones. I'm excited to continue developing my skills and growing within a dynamic environment.

Yani was born and raised in Miami Fl, where she lives with her husband and two teen daughters. Before joining the PSS staff Yani worked in the healthcare business as a medical assistant and as a USCIS N648 letter composer and specialist for over 7 years. She then worked in the Construction contracting business for 6 years as a plan expeditor and office manager for a construction company. 

Yani enjoys spending time with her daughters at dance competitions and taking rides on the motorcycle with her husband on the weekends. She looks forward to learning more and growing at PSS.

Cheyenne is full Italian, born in Boston and raised in Puerto Rico. She graduated from Miami Dade College with a bachelors in Crime Scene Investigation. Before joining our PSS team she was an administrative assistant for a prestigious service company in Miami Beach. Her personal interests are traveling, reading good books, eating new exotic foods, and dancing the night away. Cheyenne is currently the tax processor of the firm and looks forward to expanding her knowledge in the field and gaining more responsibilities.

Nicole is a native Floridian from the east coast. In her free time, she enjoys gardening and flower arranging. Bringing 20 plus years of excellent customer service experience and professionalism, she looks forward to serving you at our Punta Gorda office.

I’m an Administrative Assistant supporting tax preparers with day-to-day operations and client follow-ups for tax documents. With a strong background in Human Resources, I also have experience in onboarding, administrative assistance, and employee support. I completed my college degree in Human Resource Development Management, which gave me a solid foundation in organizational operations and people management.

In addition to my full-time role, I specialize in freelance virtual assistance, offering executive support and social media management as part of my growing skill set.

Gabriella was born and raised in Miami and graduated in August of 2024 with her bachelor’s in business administration and management at FIU. Her current roles in the firm include assisting with the necessary documentation and onboarding clients into our system, which offers direction for new account/client optimization. In her free time, she enjoys reading, watching tv shows or just spending time with friends and family. She is eager to advance in her career and take on greater responsibility.
